In the market for an XK8
Hey Guys. I'm new here. My name's Chris and I'm from New Jersey.
Just to tell you a little about myself, I'm a senior at a private prep school in Jersey and am looking to possibly buy an Xk8. Though it's not for certain yet, it is for speculative purposes (aka graduation gift).
I know the Xk8s could be had for relatively cheap, 97-98 models pre-facelift. I know Jaguar's has had a not-so-great reputation of reliability, but from my understanding that's only in the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s.
After Ford acquired them, they improved significantly and are doing much better today (rating above the industry average in CR and JD Power surveys).
Let me start off by saying, is it good to be looking at these early XKs? Are they as reliable as some of the newer models today? ANy input would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks!
