Metric or inch fitting ?
On a 2002 XKR, is the A/T fitting on the radiator a metric size or inch sized
?
it looks to be either 24 mm or 15/16”.
i want to use a line wrench on it and would like to buy the one that fits best.
it shouldn’t be on this tight, but it’s really stuck good.
thanks,
Z

They're 24 mm.
Tread carefully - these have a habit of galling on the radiator threads and can be a pig. The seal is an 'O' ring so the nuts only need to nip gently. (I couldn't find a torque figure for the rad end, but it's 17-23 Nm at the transmission & the nuts are the same size).
If they're not freeing easily you may have an issue. This thread from RaceDiagnostics may help:

Thank you ! The difference between 15/16” and 24 mm is very small, but might as well use the correct tool since I’m buying it .
Will use some “CRC Freeze-Off” to try and break the bond between the a/c line end nut and the radiator side fitting.
It’s works wonders for me in the past getting disc rotors off of hubs, so this application should be a snap, uhh, maybe “snap” is not what I’m going for here .
For a location that calls for very little assembly torque, I’m surprised that it seems welded together.

I’m finding that out.
Not worried about the radiator side, as the radiator is being replaced. But the the idea that I may be damaging the auto transmission line / fitting is putting fear in my heart.

I've had problems in the past with a/c line fittings into the condenser being stuck tight due the aluminium corrosion in the threads but I've always found the if you get enough heat into it with a gas torch and work it backwards and forwards then it will eventually release.
