As I was saying I bought a "Beautifull" xk8 from a roommate who was leaving Kuwait for 1250 KD (Kuwait Dinar / 1KD = @ $3.5 U.S.). Drove it for about 2 weeks and had both rear tires blow out while doing @ 240kph...... no real damage but tires and 1 rim . I had it towed to a "garage" and while replacing the rim and tires the ECM burned out....... Total cost of repair 410 KD Got my car back drove to work the next day and lost oil pressure (Bad oil pump) now my engine is knocking ouch. The mechanic at the garage said a used engine from a junkyard will cost me @500KD. I LOVE my car. Anyway I have tried 2 locate a master rebuild kit so I can do repairs myself but can't find anything, I had another thought of doing an Engine swap with a Chevrolet 350 and 700R4 trans....... Any Ideas that might help me here?
