Minor electrical issues

New guy with a question. I love my 97 XK8 conv. but have 2 minor electrical problems. When driver seat is lowered all the way down it blows a fuse. Also, fog light switch on dash does not come on when fog lights are on. Can I replace this myself. Thanks.

Early cars had a propensity to chafe the insulation on the seat controls. Raise the seat up and check for issues with the wiring.
