Unhappy Misfiring

Hi,

I have replaced all the coil packs on my 1997 XK8 and until recently had no problems with the engine. The other day however the car began to jolt and judder as if there was a misfire and when I lifted my foot the car died. It started again but unless I kept my foot on the accelerator it died again. Fortunately I was not too far from home and managed to nurse the car back with a little left foot braking. The strange thing is that there were no warning indications! Could it be contaminated Fuel? I have left the car with my garage in France as I am going back to the UK for a couple of weeks. Any suggestions as to what the cause might be would be very welcome.

Regards

Check for codes and check your fuel pressure.
