Default Most annoying thing about your XKR

Well...I figured I'd start of a different type of thread. I love my xkr..I think its sexy as all hell , sounds great..And well...LOVE IT...But there is one thing that annoys the crap out of me. My contribution to the thread.

1) It seems somehow I mysteriously manage to open my trunk and or gas cap filler lid. I don't know how...But it keeps happening. I figured maybe I was hitting the alarm button but my gas cap lid???? uggg...

Yup... Knee hitting both switches when you get into the vehicle. The switches should have been recessed a bit.

The Forward Alert function seems to turn itself on at odd times. In town when you come to a traffic light BEEEP. Or on the highway when passing someone BEEEP.

Usually manages to scare the crap out of me.

A well intentioned feature but very distracting.

On the XK8, that if you fold the seat forward to let somebody in the back, then press the slide forward button, it will attempt to break your dashboard off its mountings with the headrest, and the motor is powerful enough to make it at least start to move before you notice.

It's really irritating because when I'm using the back, it's usually done by somebody who doesn't know the car.

I'm impressed you can actually use the back!

I would agree with the earlier posters, knee hitting trunk or gas cap buttons and the keys dangling on my leg.

How tall are you guys hitting the Tank and Trunk buttons? I may only be 5'9", but I've never hit those, or even come close (I believe).

Mine has a little quirk
where sometimes the doors don't unlock
and I have to use the key fob to unlock the doors to get out -
fun times

Never could quite get enough leg room, always felt a little cramped, keys hit my knees, turned the wipers on all the time, then a member (and I can't remember the forum members name, I should because he was a fellow Minnesotan, but I do remember his saying he was 6ft 3" tall) posted a modification to the seat mount that added 1 1/2" of legroom.
That man is my hero. No more keys on knees, no more unintended wiper action, and a more comfortable driving position.
Regards,
