I love the E Type convertible, but for some reason I think the coupé looks weird... If I had £50K for an E Type like the one above, I'd still get a DB9, however.

I prefer the earlier (pre-series 3) coupe.

Though mine also had guns and jet engines (though Jag are chatching up on the latter)

Well, I really like the timeless simple, natural yet beautiful curves and lines design of this car rather than the modern cars based on scoops, straight lines and angles, body kits and add ons.

For me those super modern super steroids cars looks like a lady with an overdose of pimping cosmetics, lipsticks, mascaras and all those things that made them "unnatural".

I agree. I'd love to have one. I was driving the other day top down and came up beside on just like it. Kinda cool 2 BRG jags old and new style side by side.

The XKEs are beautiful cars, but I don't like that grill. The one Robert Scott Neilly posted is better, in my opinion.

A few weeks ago my wife and I went up to the mountains to drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I don't know what was going on, but we saw three different XKEs in about 30 minutes. Prior to that I think I might have seen two in my entire life.

I have never heard of them referred to as XKEs over here, they are simply known as E Types or E Type Jag.

I remember driving with my parents down the M1 in the early 60s and a pair of E Types came past us nose to tail. They were travelling about 60mph faster than us! We were not that far from Coventry at the time and I have heard that the M1 was used as an unofficial test track.

I honestly don't think anyone has made a better body style than that one. It looks amazing from every angle, even the rear end is just amazing.

I guess I'm showing my youth... XKE's remind me of grandpa's cars... lol

My 'pinnacle' Jaguar would be this XK120 Roadster:

or this:

Sorry, can't help it, I've always been a little different. lol
