Default Is my cat trying to lull me into a false sense of security

Hi all,
I'm almost afraid to write this for fear of tempting fate.
Slowly but surely the problem child xk8 seems to have turned over a new leaf and is performing magnificently.
It has not thrown up an error for 1000s of km.
Long way to go before all is forgiven but at this stage we're still in bat.
For those who read this drivel ,the only remaining unsevicability is the self levelling headlights ( they were so poor you had to strike a match to see if they on) which insisted in pointing the beams into the ground ,which in desperation, I manually reset the servos ang left the electrical connector off so now they just point where they point.
Hope for the best and expect the worst
Al

We tempt fate every time we turn the key, but that makes it that much sweeter when everything works like it is supposed to. The cat purrs and we smile.

Enjoy Al and hope you have 1000s more km of happy driving!

I have learned not to tempt fate any longer by making proclamations about how good my "cat" is running, it is the kiss of death. You are braver than I. Proceed cautiously! (And have fun!)

I should note that this forum proves that someone else is always worse off than you are!

Default cat runs great

A while back I responded to a thread saying how great my cat is performing
it still is! I have 165k miles on mine and it has given very few issues. I read the threads
just in case one of these dreaded problems happens to me, I will know where to begin. I stopped waiting for something bad to happen and just drive the crap out of it! I love it! I bought used so perhaps the previous ownerdelt with all the issues. Once again, no complaints about my 02 xkr
