Went out this morning to a wrecking yard not far from my city. My buddy needed a trailer hitch for his 92 Sedan DeVille. I thought while I'm here I'll check for any Mercedes 126 cars. As I got to the 3rd row I found an 06 Jag. XK8!!! Black with tan interior. I scored an auto dimming mirror and a much needed front left inner fender liner. Mine had been damaged by what looked like a tire blow out at one time. I needed the mirror because my AUTO headlights only worked if I wiggled the mirror? Both items $50. It had no engine or trans and suffered a major front end collision. It had a really nice black top but a soiled torn headliner. Dash gauges and bezels all there as well as the navigation system. I need to buy a Lottery ticket!

I'm still waiting for an XK8 to show up on Picknpull's online inventory. I check daily for that and miatas.

I have my tool bag ready and will roll as soon as I see one show up. For me, walking the junkyard is better than walking in a park.

The auto diming mirror from the 06 fixed my inop. auto headlights! I also replaced a damaged left front inner fender liner.

 

Went back out there today. I scored new tail pipes that eliminate the rear most mufflers! They looked new. I also got the two seat back release handles and bezels. The hydraulic top motor is gone, taillights gone, CD and Navigation units gone.
