You can add a spacer up to 3/8" thick to the top of the shock mount. I made one from a plastic cutting board. There is a pdf of the plate in post#1 by SteveJacks in the thread 'steering issues resolved. If you make one, it wouldn't hurt to cut a larger center hole so that you have access to the nut on the shock.
