Default My top wont latch

I have an 1998 XK8 and the top was closeup and saw it was about to rain and when I tried to put the top up it would only go to the latch and wouldnt close all the way. I tried to open and nothing. No sound from the motor. Any suggestions??

Sorry, no suggestion for your car but I did flag this thread so the mods can put it with the X100's where it belongs and will get better responses.

Good luck with it.

A guy called White XKR knows all XK type convertible top intricacies and would no doubt be able to help you with your problem.

Buu, welcome. Was the car moving when you closed it? I suspect not, but wanted to verify.

have you checked the fuse in the trunk?

fingers crossed, sounds like the fuse and it's an easy fix.
