Default Need Good Parts Source Used & New

Hello, New to Jag ownership. 1998 XK8. The seat release knobs and trim, both sides, missing. Levers work and seat fold froward so just need source for the aforementioned. Like to find gray but any color acceptable. What is fair price? Can someone help? Thanks

No one seems to want to answer but I get most of my parts via ebay. Google what you are looking for often provides different answers and you may locate a jag breaker in your area or someone who can ship to you.No jag prices are fair.
For the seat lifters you could easily make some in polished wood to match the dash or mold in glass fibre .
Good luck with your jag . make sure you check the transmission fluid level. Changing the thermostat for an 84 deg C one is a good idea for florida and I have the fans at half speed when the engine runs.If you are not the type to get out and get under it will be an expensive car.

A good parts source is one of the forums sponsors, “SNG Barratt”. They sell worldwide and have the best selection of genuine Jaguar parts and some aftermarket alternatives as well.

https://www.sngbarratt.com

if you order by phone and identify yourself as a Jaguar forum member, many of the parts will be discounted 10%.

Beware of buying critical parts off of eBay. I have been burned by more than one eBay seller who was selling counterfeit parts. Parts that turned out to have fake Jaguar or Mercedes logos and / or packaging.

Don’t be fooled by claims of equal quality, there’s no substitute for parts from the original manufacturer. I’m living with an intermittent & false “high transmission temperature” dash notification because I installed a part that was not up to OEM standards.
