Default New overhead vanity mount

2000 XKR Convertible:

I had the fine folks at Falconworks remove my rear-view mirror so that I could send it in to Sybesma's for the chromatic fluid repair. Sybesmas Electronics, Electronic Repair

When they got into the vanity housing, they found that the support bracket was busted. The parts people don't want to sell just the bracket (see photos). Does anyone have a bracket for sale or a source? Falconworks said that they'll fab one out of metal for me for around $80 if I can't find one. I'm starting to think that is a great deal and go that direction. Thoughts? TIA

I could swear I thought that piece was metal....

If they can fab that piece out of metal and do a relatively good job of it, $80 is a bargain.

Agree, $80 is a bargain for custom machining.

When I was pulling on the vanity assembly trying to get the clips to let go I was thinking to myself "please don't break, please don't break, please don't break".

Gimme a day and a tube of JB Weld and I will fix it.

Unless your like me and don't even like a piece that is outta mind and outta sight to be half assed.
