Default New XK8 owner

Hi all,

I've just purchased a new (to me) Jaguar XK8 4.2 of late 2002 vintage. Beautiful convertible in black, only missing option is the heated seats!

Pick it up this Saturday, and can't wait!

I'm used to owning needy cars, the last everyday being an RX8, and always have been a classic car owner. The garage currently has a lovely MG Midget in it, definitely a Brit car enthusiast.

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and ask for any helpful advice on keeping my new pride and joy in tip top condition, if anyone has any gems of knowledge please feel free to share, or any reference I should read anywhere?

Safe roads all,

James

Severniea, I'm going to copy your post over to the new members section, you can find it here
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...8-owner-78067/

In the meantime you can take a look at the "How To" guides in this section for some useful info.

Oops, I see you beat me to it.

I assume your car is one of the first facelift cars which started in the 2003 model year in the States, so you have many of
the earlier niggles resolved.

There's all the information you need in this section to enable you to tackle almost anything on the XK8.

If you prefer to use an Indy then one of the World's best - David Marks - is in your city.
