Default NextBase Dashcam hardwiring

Evening all,
How have you wired in your dash cams in your XK8/R? I have a NextBase hardwire kit same as in my XType - but it will not work in my XKR. I've swapped the kit for another one but still got no power going to my dashcam (NextBase 402G). I have done the following:

- Connected hardwire piggy back kit to the fuse for Cigar lighter situated in the passenger side (RHD) fuse compartment. Negative wire for the kit I connected to a screwhead at top of the fuse compartment. Its a tight squeeze but it seems to be in OK.
- I then plugged the Cigar lighter fuse into the piggy back kit.
- Confirmed cigar lighter works fine off the piggy back kit so its getting power.
- No power to the dashcam when I connected the USB from the hardwire kit.

The Dashcam works as I took it out the Xtype for testing. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I don't know about that's going on? I tried using the Climate Control ECU fuse in slot 10, this is a 10amp fuse rather than a 20 for the cigar lighter. Still no power going to the dash cam. Confused!

Did you confirm the screw you put the ground wire on is actually grounded? Use a multimeter and check for proper ground.
