Marksman or XKRacer, I have an '06 xkr with the full mesh grill without any "teeth". I'm wondering if it will still fit the opening if I recess it an inch or two.

Yes it should be fine but you will have to do some modifications to your bumper beam to allow it

I kinda like the look of the 3 piece grille. I wonder how that would look on an 05/06 especially in conjunction with the mina lower grille. I think that might look pretty great...
