Oil consumption on the 4.0 N/A & S/C as well as the 4.2 N/A & S/C engines?

Oil consumption on the 4.0 N/A & S/C as well as the 4.2 N/A & S/C engines?

Do you experience any oil consumption on these engines between regular oil changes? If so, how much? TIA

No oil consumption. Its interesting that the tailpipes remain completely free of any soot or deposits, they always look new. Sometimes I even wonder why there is no sooting.

I never needed to add oil between changes on either my 2001 4.0 or 2005 4.2 XK8's.

Both vehicles were daily drivers and serviced on mileage because I exceeded 10k miles before 12 months elapsed.

Different car (S-type) but same 4.2L NA engine.

No oil added between changes.

2001 XKR. No oil consumption between oil changes, 12 months/15000km.
