Default Part load breather leak and misfire?

Yesterday the engine started running rough shortly after starting, and I got "Engine Fault" and "Restricted Performance" warning. Codes were P0307, P1316 and P1314.

I noticed the part load breather hose has some oil in it, and the mounting stud seems to be loose from the camshaft cover. I suppose the brown glue like part should be firmly stuck to the cover.

Does anyone know if this seems like a reasonable cause for the misfire? I'm going to try to glue the stud back in before shelling out for a new camshaft cover.

Thanks.

As it turns out, I'm an idiot. Had a low coolant warning and a small leak near one of the Norma connectors the day before yesterday. Since I forgot to bring any coolant and was a bit wary of that connector bursting, asked road side assistance for a top up. The guy undid the coolant cap way to early, spraying coolant everywhere.

Apparently the bank 7 spark plug is about halfway underwater, so that might explain misfires.

Remaining question: does anyhow have good experience glueing the part load breather? I saw a few posts about it but nothing conclusive.

Judging from your picture it has already been stuck once. The trick is finding the right bonding agent and whether you need to clean the old stuff off first. You'll need to clean oil off as well. I admit I asked a garage to do it whilst in for other work.

Agree, degreasing is key for a decent seal and long lasting bond. Otherwise nothing fancy.
