This is driving me nuts... the passenger side seat back in my 98 XK8 will move back but won't raise back up again, so now it's stuck down in this ultra recline position. Any suggestions on how to fix it or manually crank it back up?

Thanks!

You often find it is the switch pack, Jaguar no longer make them so you might need to look around a bit to find one once you have diagnosed that is the problem, sometimes you can repair them, its a 50/50 scenario

Most of the time this is a very common seat module fault, and can be repaired yourself if you have some basic soldering skill, or have a friend with some soldering skill, or take it to a local electronics repair guy. The plastic case wears away one or two circuit board traces at the edge of the circuit board. You carefully solder a thin wire to repair the traces.

or 'manually' crank it back up....!

I have the same problem, the passenger seat back is stuck in the fully reclined position....

Question:
How to 'manually' adjust to lift forward (raise) the backrest into a more comfortable position...?

To 'manually' do so...!

Is it possible...? and how...?
