I'm posting this here because I'm sure this problem is in more than just 97 xk8. My drivers side seat back has separated from the front. Just trying to get an idea what its going to take to fix it before I take the seat out?

I think you'll find it is an XK8/XKR specific issue owing to the particular seat design on the early models. Looks like the trim clips securing the backrest panel are missing, broken or just displaced.
