I am really disappointed with the sound quality and volume from the premium HK system in my drop top, the system in my previous coupe was fantastic, I specifically looked at only HK premium cars as I wanted the same sound quality. My new car is really poor, the volume is a lot lower, I get bass distortion at mid range volumes and the general depth of sound just isn't there.

On first inspection there looks to be a fair few differences from the coupe system to that fitted in the convertible.

Has anybody found similar issues? Anybody recommend some speaker upgrades that won't break the bank? ( I'm saving the cash for a twin screw )
