My new-to-me 2004 XK8 driver's seat growls/grinds when moved fore or aft under power. The pax side does not make this noise. No other powered seat movements make this noise.

1. Before I pull the seat to discover the culprit, I would like to know whether repair parts, like the plastic gears, are available.
2. Are the seat's power units/components shared with other Ford seats?
perhaps the early 2000's Lincoln LS or Thunderbird?
