That's good info. I like how the drawing of the part shows the cracks and breaks.

Hi Brian, Am driving my brother's 2007 (2006 model) XK8. Driver's seat module broken. (Driver's window auto lowering/raising feature also on the fritz.)Saw older post that you could fix seat module if in So. Cal. Will be there next week. Any chance you are available to look at it? Thanks! Marilynn

The only other thing I need to do is try to glue the case back together. Someone ripped it off the seat rather than removing the bolts holding it on before I got the car.

UNless someone else has a bad module with a decent case to donate to the cause?
Wow, that's real considerate of future owners. I found mine in that condition as well. I placed it back in position and put some thick foam tape between the bottom of the box and the metal brace underneath it to provide friction and resistance to it moving forward again. Will see how it holds up.

If I do get the new top cover for the module from Jaguar, how do you get at the mounting bolts to remove or replace them?

The replacement covers have new bolts embedded in the plastic.

no worries Brian, you know these guys around here, we're good sounding boards for any number of difficult times...remember that time we gave advice to a member when a guy was hitting on his wife?

In the meantime, you can still read...the entertainment value sure hasn't dropped any since you last logged on in April.

Default "Power Seat Stopped Working!!!"

Convertible XK8 2007 (2006 model) driver's seat power button. Thank you for replies! Specific problem is that brother/car owner adjusted middle button recliner/headrest while in motion. Am assuming this will take someone familiar with the power module & Brian has kindly gotten in contact.

Brian,
I have a power seat issue too. Can you look at the module if I send it to you?
