power steering leak

Default power steering leak

I've got a leak. when my wife drives the car about 20 miles and parks it the power steering leaks, I add fluid about each week roughly 3 oz. I suspect the pump. After I drive it about 150 miles there are no leaks.
anybody have any suggestions?

The lousy plastic connector that joins the metal tube portion of the power steering line to the rubber hose portion of the power steering line is the usual suspect. It is located next to the alternator on the outbound side. You will need to remove the airbox to get to it. A common fix is cutting off the plastic connector and installing a brass hose barb along with a bit of new rubber hose to permanently solve the problem....

AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a very good candidate. I suspect you're talking about the return (low pressure) line. thanks
