Hello Folks. For what it's worth my car is a 1996 xk8. That being said I just changed out all of the radio lighting including the back light as none of them worked. So this evening I popped the radio back in to check it out and discovered that none of the 5 lower lights that I changed work and the back light, even though it is inside a blue rubber sleeve shines white and only just. see attached file video below. Also when I turn on the headlights the backlight goes out.
I was advised to replace the lights with 3mm - 12V - 60mA - Grain of Wheat lights and this is the result.
