Default Rear diff fluid

I'm getting a used rear diff for my 2002 xkr (gonna be my 3rd one, ya im getting good at dropping the rear end) and i just want to make sure that any quality 75w90 synthetic will do. Might as well put some fresh oil in it while it's convenient

This is not an easy task but can be done. As for the proper fluid I contacted Jaguar and they told me 75w 140 will work on my 99 but I suggest you check with them. This link is how I did my 99 XK8.

thanks. I have the diff sitting on the floor next to the rear end so in this case it will be easy. I will call the dealership today. Thanks again

Gus; Thanks you very much for this info. I'm going to change the oil in my '99 today, hopefully. You have answered all the questions I had about doing this. The pictures were most helpful.
