Default Rear diff Removal Procedure

HI Fellow enthusiasts

I have decided to replace the diff on my Xk8 after the car has been stood for over 12 months, The diff started Banging and thumping so i have Purchased a second hand unit fromebay and am about to replace the diff, I have trolled the net and cannot find the procedure so any help would be much apreciated. I have purchased a Reapir cd from ebay hover it hasn't arrived yet and i would like to start the job.

Thanks for the link the systems do sound similar a violent judder and bang from the rear end every 10 yards or so.

Oh boy same thing. What would I do differently? Spend the bucks and replace the rubber back there. It's gonna be accessible for a few days right?

Yes there's no rush to have the car done, so would rather take my time and do other maintainance while the diff and subframe is dropped

The only rubber bits I've found back there are the Monostrut bushings (4), pendulum bushings (4) and the large A frame bushings (2). The monostrut and pendulum bushings usually don't go bad but you can change them out while access is good. I left mine as they looked almost new. I purchased a newer A frame which had very good looking bushings to replace my old rusted out one.
