I replaced the Top locking bar on my 2000 XK8 convertible, One of the arms on the locking linkage was broken, plus it was leaking. I bought one from a salvage yard and it was in perfect shape. Installation was pretty easy. however, now my quarter rear windows are not working? Do I need to do a battery reset? or is something else going on. I have looked on Youtube but not much detail on the videos I have seen. 2000 XK8 My first Jag, loving it.
At the latch there should be a top closed switch and a top latch closed switch, 3 wires BK is ground, when both switches are closed, they send ground on LGR and LGU to the
Convertable top module which is part of the Body Processor module. BPM sends ground on GB wire to the quarter window up relays in trunk. I'd look at the switch
outputs first.
My Guide only goes up to 99 MY but 2000 should be similar.
