It seems that the audo-dimming mirror in my 1998 XK8 has liquified and is hazy. Can this be repaired or do I need to replace? If replace, where's the best place to get the part and is it easy to do myself?

 

Sybesma's Electronics rebuilds them with gel rather than liquid. They will send you a new one then you send in your old one as a core. It's around $100 when you include shipping. It isn't too hard to pop out.

Wonder if they can do the same on the wing mirrors?I have 1 that is liquidified, and 1 that is showing signs of browning.
