Rear View Mirror Wiring
Just replaced my mirror. Bought one from Walsh in November and a shop in Nanaimo swapped them out last week. They said the connectors did not match so no power. Another local shop willing to swap connectors but want to know the wires in advance. The new mirror is wired for auto wipers etc. Car does not have those features. Old mirror has 4 wires on a 6 pin connector. Viewed from the top with the connector release down, they are from left to right white, grey, black, yellow. Do not know what is on other end yet. Away on road trip with no tools or resources.
Say if you have auto headlights. You said no rain sensing wipers on your car.
Did your old mirror have a dimming button on the bottom? Does the new one? I will look up the wire after the feedback.
Friend tell us why you mentioned trip. Iow are you in a jamb, a rush? Or the opposite?

Rex,
WR (white red) = battery + RF2-1
PB (purple black) = dim RF2-4
YU (yellow blue) = auto headlights RF2-5
YW (yellow white) = connects to reverse lights on RF2-2
BK (black pink) = ground RF2-3
Rex, RF2 is the 6 way yellow connector. The dash ("-") & number ("-1")
= the position of the wire in the connector.
Just in case you didn't know, reverse turns off dimming, thats why pin2 connects to your back up lights.
