Default Recaros

I'm about to take possession of an '03 XKR and about the only change I'd like to make is the possible change to Recaro front seats. I realize I should put this in the "Wanted" section but would like input as to where to look for a set of these and opinions from those of you that have them regarding comfort.

Look up Recaro seats in the search bar There has been a lot of discussions pertaining to them. It seems that their not comfortable for tall people and comfortable for people that are shorter. There was a thread a few days ago.

Hi,
My Recaro seats are very comfortable even with the 20" wheels. I'm far from tall...(1m69...) then I can be considered as "short guy".

At six feet one and 175 lbs, my Recaro seats are quite comfortable. Generally, if you are of slender build and do not have a large fanny you will be pleased with the Recaro seats. The back and seat-side bolsters on the Recaros are large and provide excellent lateral support. The same bolsters make for a less than comfortable fit if you are on the heavy side.

I know I’ll be tempted to do a track day occasionally and I don’t want to flop around in the seat as I suspect I would. My size is close to GL above so it sounds as if they’d work well. So again the question, what might be a source for them and then a secondary issue is there a model year constraint for functional fitting in my ’03 R?

I'm a short fatass and I love the recaro seats. I'm 5-7 and 195. I liked the recaros when I was 30 lbs heavier too.
