Hello, I'm trying to remove my old warn out growler badge from my 2003 Jag XK8 hood/bonnet but can't find a video online on how to do so. I find videos on taking all other plastic emblems but the the hood growler which I believe may be screwed in. Can someone help? Please?

 

Removal is less of danger to paint when done with a strong wire like a cheese cutter. I used that but some use strong monofilament fish line with good results. Remember the mounting prong or stud because the wire stops when it encounters that stud. Work around the emblem in sawing back & forth motion and it will release and no damage. Clean the adhesive and you can apply your replacement with 2 sided 3m tape.

 

And I would heat up the badge and its associated adhesive with a powerful hair dryer before starting the removal process....

 

Besides the sticky tape, isn't there on the underside a press clip that goes onto the center numb of the badge?
