Default Repair needed - bottom of seat bolster

I am hoping someone has an idea how I can repair the bottom of my bolsters, which is a non-leather fabric. I have attached a photo that illustrates the problem. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

I assume you have a XK8, but what year/miles? You can put that in your signature by going to the USER CP, first item in the black bar near the top of the page.

I'm inclined to think those are replacement covers that have not been properly installed. You might try stopping at a local upholstery shop, not necessarily automotive, and see if they can help.
This can be a DIY project, but it may be a lot less stressful to have a pro do it. The fact that you have brought it to the forum suggests that you are not comfortable just diving in, and I think that is wise.

Ok. Thanks. I have owned this '98 XK8 convertible since new, so all is original. I think the newer Xk's used leather instead of fabric for that small connector piece and I'm guessing I could go that route. Just wondering if anyone has tried to fix this area and has some experience to share.

That piece is wearing on my 1998 too. Can't you just push it back up behind the leather for now?

John,

been doing that for the last 5 years, even have sewn the fabric back to the leather. Maybe a sticky back piece of same color leather or fabric would work?
