Default Replacement 4 button remote

Does anyone have any experience of these replacements on Ebay which are a fraction of the price of originals?

No, but I bought a Saab remote for my XJ6 and it works. I think as long as the frequency is the same it doesn't matter where it originates, but if cheaply made it may not hold up.

I was thinking of something to chuck in the draw in case of emergencies rather than for everyday use.

They have been advertised on ebay UK for a very long time now so they must at least work!

I considered it as an option for my 2001 XK8 which only had one fob but eventually went for an 'as new' original (also from ebay UK) at £40 as they look so much more robust.

Howdy Folks:
I bought mine from them 12/2010 (~$25) and I cannot tell any difference (physical or electronic) from the original. I would not hesitate to buy another if need be. (both also work the same with Steve's Remote Top)
Sorry, I clicked on the ikeyless ad not your link. this is what I bought> https://ikeyless.com/vehicles/Jaguar.../2002/1000216/ (it is more expensive now and regardless of what they say about programming, you CAN do it yourself in less than a minute. Again sorry and good luck.

You bought an OE remote from iKEYLESS:

JonWat is asking about these aftermarket remotes:

Howdy Graham:
This is why did the edit after discovering the error of my ways. I thought JonWat had attached the iKEYESS ad that I clicked on. I should have typed in "edit" before my apology. I have not had any dealings with the sellers that he had in question.
