_g,
I completely blew past the VCATS, and I know better. I bet the guy didn't when he bought the second IPK, and the guy who put it in didn't know either.

just saw the pics... cool job security.. lol i went back to 111 with all the patches.. that trifle interior is so odd that its kinda cool lol nice pinch.. did you epqr the pic?
I sent the EPQR....didnt attach pic as I saved as BMP file not JPG. LOL...was 7 MB instead of 850kb. Emailed THL with pics for them to attach. I like the truffle....but the spice is my favorite.
Did you back up your sessions and uninstall 111 prior to installing 112? We were locking up like crazy on 111. Now 112 is smooth as silk.
JTO.....reading it now.

we had that spice before in the x400 i remember it BRG exterior with that spice interior was odd.. but the XF with black exterior and spice does look nice. had a ipod interface go today. ipod kept disconnecting on then off.. customer thougth thats how it works lol
OMG....that other forum sucks in format layout. Made me want to give up reading.....lol.
FC26-20....the blue/white wire, is used from IPK to audio unit for speed signal. The fact that speed signal is used from ABS module is on the CAN network, I would start by looking at that wire first. If IPK sees an open circuit on that wire, it is possible, theoretically that it would cause those faults as it cannot determine wheel speed and therefore no transmission selection...again based on speed.
This is just a theory.....and the fact that he seems to have left all the other wires in connector. I am wondering however, did he cut the wires and then leave them exposed...I know he connected to the audio unit (new one), but where he disconnected from connector that would have plugged into old audio unit, but did he cut it, thinking that it wouldnt be powered up so no problem and it is now touching metal behind radio? I think the second theory is most likely. This also means, disconnecting the radio will probably leave that touching metal and problem will still occur. I don't think his pack is the problem.

_g,
I meant the serial communications going between the two of you guys... I'm missing out on alot of the secret handshakes, or I need a L'il Orphan Andy Ovaltine decoder ring.

FJT,
That's why I made him triple-dog swear that the speed signal wire was not connected or shorted to ground, that was the first thought. But I didn't think having it open circuit would make a difference. Sucks not having the car, I'd be learning alot more.

lol.. yeah my boss has that one.. the i pod kept connecting then disconnecting kept showing that check mark.. constantly.. the interface module that the ipod cord plugs into with the usb connection in the cubby box.. it was shorting internally.. swapped out of show room car and presto.. jag logo appeared and music played.
JTO.....just a theory remember.....lol. We dont have the car either. At least we all on the same page. I would be willing to bet there was nothing wrong with his first IPK.
Genius....We have a couple of test cables...lol. If you look around the PDIs hard enough, you find some of them have two cables in there.
Also, door lock covers, extra wood, nav dvds, even had an extra glove box jaguar sense thing.....on the wood. I wonder if there is an XF being delivered with the wood above the dash missing.....lol
