Default Score!

I was at NAPA today getting parts for the Jeep, when the parts guy started asking about my Jag. I thought he was just going to ask about my recent radiator hose change since they couldn't order the hoses, but then he told me my local mechanic, where I sometimes take the Jeep, has a bunch of oil filters he got in a bigger lot at auction, that fit the Jag. Since it is a small town and there are hardly any Jags (or retro Thunderbirds, or Lincoln LS since they all use the same filter) he sold me 6 for a little more than I usually pay for 1! Score! It's nice to own a rare car in a small town where everyone knows my car. I should be set for oil filters for at least 3 years, probably more (I'm a bit overzealous with my oil changes and usually go 5000 miles, please don't let this thread degenerate into oil change type/frequency)

Good for you. In my town I would be elated if there were one filter available to buy at inflated prices...

Good for you!

I'm looking for someone that got a deal on all the little, fiddly plastic pieces that turn to dust when you touch them...
