Hi All,
My drivers side (USA) 97 xk8 had a seat belt failure. Seams as the return spring as given up.

Does anyone know what year models would be a good swap. It looked like 97-99 looks like mine and then maybe 2000-? was a change in the type of cartridge used but still no electronics plugged in.

I saw one post say no real difference in Left - Right, but I see a clear difference in mine that has the long tall cartridge that fires upon wreck.

The 2003+ are definitely different. None of that cylinder stuff was on mine.

I thought I'd read on the forum that seatbelts had a mandatory vehicle lifetime warranty in the US but can't find a reference to this. However, my search did turn up this repair service:

Worth investigating if you can't source a like-for-like replacement seatbelt.
