lame question about seat belt and belt light

Question lame question about seat belt and belt light
On my 00 xkr, i noticed that the seat belt light doesn't illuminate when i unbuckle my seat belt when the car is on and driving or parked. Am i correct that the light should work like most cars and make noise? illuminate when i don't have my belt on??

The light should be on and the tone will sound intermittently.

Question seatbelt
ok, looks like there is something wrong with the sealtbelt thing then, any one got any ideas of were to look first?
