Seat belt light in dashboard
Hello,
I have a 2005 XK8 and noticed that the seat belt light in the instrument panel only illuminated during start up. This light has not been observed to illuminate any time after during the drive. I have tried unbuckling while the car is stopped and while in motion but I can't seem to get this light to illuminate again. According to the manual, the light should illuminate when unbuckled but the dealer told me that this light does not come on anytime after start for a 2005 XK8. I have tried searching this forum but have not found another similar post. Can anyone tell me if you have any experience with how this light is suppose to function? Thanks for your help.

I have an 01 and the seatbelt light does not function as yours does. I am assuming the sensor in the seat is defective or unplugged. It is not a priority on my repair list yet.
