Default Seat Control Issue

Recently my son put the seat all the way back and then reclined the seatback about as far as it would go. The seatback is now locked in the all the way back position and will not budge. The seat itself will move just fine on its track.

All the rest of the controls on the switch seem to work just fine. I have checked the wires underneath the seat and all appears in good order.

This is the passenger side of the car that is the problem.

Any ideas about how one would go about attempting to fix this problem??

Swap seat controllers with the drivers side and see if you still have the problem.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........................where do I find the seat control module!

Hope its not another one like the ABS module that needs to be cut open and the broken leads soldered!!!

It might be... I had to repair the inside of my seat controller, but they are easier to get apart than the ABS module.

The module is under the front edge of the seat. There is a 10mm nut on either end of the module holding it to the seat.

This link might give you an idea...

Jaguar should have included a soldering iron and some solder in the toolkit in the trunk
