Default Seat Control Module damaged by seat being too low?

Hello Good Jaguar folks
As the title of this thread implies, I have a question about the seat modules. The one in the picture is just one I downloaded from E-bay but it's the same issue I have. I recently purchased the entire interior from a 2000 xk8. As I was inspecting the seats and modules I noticed the supporting mounts had broken off on both modules. When I questioned the seller as to why this was so he said it was from previous owners not raising the seats before moving them back and forth.
This sounded a little suspect to me so I thought I would run it by the knowledgable folks on this forum.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

It's a common problem, you can (or could) get replacement lids part # C2N 3565

Thanks for that.
Thought Jaguar would have taken into consideration people might move the seat in it's lowest position which is why I found the sellers explanation suspect.

Jag sells this part for about 10$ as they know it's a problem, I bought two and noticed that "Ford" was stamped on oit.

Ya, I saw the Ford stamp too, You could probably buy the whole module from whatever car Ford put them into for half the price.. Thanks for the info though.
