Default Seat memory

What controls the memory function? is it just the buttons on the door?

I push the red set button & it lights, then I push the #1 button after I have set the set mirrors etc where I want it, it beeps as if it has made the connection but when I pushed the #1 button to return the seat etc to where I wanted it, I heard a beep and that was it, nothing moved or returned to where I set it.

The way it should work is, set the seat position you want, hold M1 button down until you here a beep, keeping holding for a couple of seconds longer if you wish, that will set the memory, move everything about and then just push M1 quickly, everything should move to the positions you set, if you hold your finger on it too long and you get another beep you will have reset it again to the position you dont want

I replied to this question on another thread.
The option for 'memory' doesn't necessarily include the seats.
My car has the memory option fitted, but it's only the steering wheel and mirrors that have it.
It took me ages to find this out.
Roy.
