Seat motor
It is often the module that's at fault. Swap the modules and see what happens. If you haven't removed them before, they are under the front edge of the seat, held by two 10 mm nuts.

You may have a different if you can hear the motor. It may be the gear is bad, but the module is certainly providing power. Have you tried pulling on the seat while the power is on?
I've had two of these fail- one in the 8 and one in the X. In both cases it was the tiny nylon gear in the assy. that drives the cable which in turn moves the seat. I was able to buy a seat complete from a local wrecker, and plunder the motor assemblies for parts. The exchange was pretty much plug 'n play, and was quite simple once the seat was unbolted. Maybe find a kid with long, skinny fingers to work thos back bolts free.
I don't believe the nylon gear is available separately. I do have some of the other bits, however.

I had the same kind of problem. If it's the module bad, you may be able to jumper the motor directly. See if the instructions in this thread help.

Is it just the front to back movement that is inoperative? Do you hear any sound at all?
