The first step is to get a gauge on the fuel line schroeder valve and get a fuel pressure reading.
When you turn the key to position II before start the fuel pump is energized for a few seconds to pressurize the system. The pressure reading will be a good place to start.
The problems could be at worst case the fuel pump, and down the line fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter.
I always like to start at the cheapest, try changing the fuel filter.
Once you get the fuel pressure reading post it and we can take a look.

One of the moderators will come along soon and transfer your post to the X100 group and more of the XK8 owners will chime in.

Welcome to the forum Kenny,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.
