Well I have sold the Jag and wish to thank everyones input into any of the posts I had placed on the site,Sad to see her go but time and other interests got in the way and before I had spent money to the value of the car as I was given it free, I had my bit of fun in it but was always worried it breaking down and here in france breakdown service is not what its like in others countries.

Sorry to hear the XK8 has to go but I understand your worry. My one experience of having a French garage attend to a burst coolant hose on my XJ40 many years ago convinced to to steer well clear of them!
