Default Something dropped down the demister vents

When I picked my car up, the black plastic dome was missing from the Solar Sensor on the top of the fascia. Wasn't anywhere to be found in the car so I fitted a replacement sensor and forgot about it.

Now when cornering hard, something rolls from one side to the other under fascia and it's driving me nuts.

The 'something' is likely to be the missing sensor dome dropped down the screen demister grilles.

I can't see it and can't touch it by poking fingers or a thin wire down the demister grilles. Removing the demister grilles therefore probably wouldn't get me any further. Removing the twin fascia vents in the centre of the dash looks as if it might get me to wherever the demister ducts join the AC unit?

Gordon--

Just turn the car upside down and shake it.

Perhaps duct tape some thin vinyl tubing to a shop-vac hose and suck it out?

Mike,

Just call round and demonstrate that trick for me, please.

I'll pick up some tube and give it a try. Anything to avoid a major tear down.
