I think it's hit or miss as to where the limiter is set in cars from about 2000 on. 135 seems about right for your car. Of course, limiters can be circumvented, but why would you want to go much faster. Even in Montana on an open stretch of road, I think it's only something a bulletproot teen would do, not something most XK8 or XKR owners would contemplate.

ohh the life of a bulletproof teen, i've got mine up to 130 but this was on a controlled race track. i'm planning on taking the limiter off, you can never have to much power.
