speed problems

i have a 2005 xkr that is running strong and good but cuts out around 132mph ive found multiple spots saying 155mph so what could be up dealer says that it supposed to be 135mph

I think it's hit or miss as to where the limiter is set in cars from about 2000 on. 135 seems about right for your car. Of course, limiters can be circumvented, but why would you want to go much faster. Even in Montana on an open stretch of road, I think it's only something a bulletproot teen would do, not something most XK8 or XKR owners would contemplate.

is there way u can change that rogram under a diffrent vin or something , and i got in a race with a vett and we were dead even and then it just stop was embrassing.

ohh the life of a bulletproof teen, i've got mine up to 130 but this was on a controlled race track. i'm planning on taking the limiter off, you can never have to much power.
