Default Sport Mode

I must say the sport mode on the trans is very fun to drive. I was cruising about 40 mph today, punched the gas, felt the car downshift, and the car took off like a bullet, and it's just the standard XK8. The gears seems to shift at higher rpm's starting from a stand still. oh well, screw the gas milage.

The tonneau cover arrived today for the convertible top. It really dresses up the look when the top is down.

Also, anyone experiencing the cooling fan running for like 30 seconds after shutting off the car? Granted, it has been in the mid 90's here lately.

Cheers!

Fans continuing to run for 30 seconds after shutdown on a hot day is entirely normal.

Good to hear that you are enjoying the car.

Hey Dave,
I know what you mean. When we left Roan Mountain's rental cabin, it was 64 degrees. Back to Florida and 102 degrees! At least you are just an easy drive up to the cooler elevations....

Up here in Seattle we are joking that we are in the month of Junuary. Summer doesn't even start here until after the 4th of July and of course this year it will probably be the 6th due to the celebrated holiday of the 5th!
