Default Sports Button

All,

On my 2003 XKR, the sports button is enabled when in the Up position. When the button is depressed, Sport is off. Is this Normal? I assume, if not, I need to reattach the buttons wire while in the down position (as I connected it in the up position).

Thanks!
dsd

That is exactly the way it is supposed to be, no need to change anything.

They are all red, don't worry about it.

makes no sense. Green for GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Red usually means broke on these cars, or stop. ha ha ha

One of two buttons that work 'backwards' in this car are the Sport Mode, and the Dynamic Stability Control buttons. When the light is illuminated on the DSC button it is 'OFF', but when the Sport Mode button is engaged and the button is in the standard (U.S.) 'OFF' position which is up, the light is illuminated and 'Sport Mode' is 'ON'. Confusing, Hell YES, but more incentive to read the Owner's Manual.

Thanks all!

The owners manual is pretty ambiguous on this. It refers to the button being engaged but never states engaged position.

:-)
