I have a 2006 Jaguar XK8 that I would like to replace the stock grill with a mesh one. Does anyone have any tips on how to removal the stock grill? Do you have to remove the black center bar, there appears to be a sensor of some type attached to the underside of this center black bar. So far I was only able to get the chrome center strip off.

 

I have an 06 XK8 as well. I recently installed the mesh grill... Pics are in my gallery. I removed the chrome grill the car came with using 2 hex headed bolts. And the new Mesh grill came with two brackets that screwed into the original location, and then the mesh grill screwed into the brackets. Once I got the correct size of hex headed ratched the whole job took less than 10 minutes. It was easy
